For the love of birds
The Summer issue of Sun Valley Magazine focuses on the beauty and mystery of birds of prey. From what the editor tells me, they had been trying to pull this issue together for more than three years, but had not been able to because they had no one to write the anchor stories. Honestly, I have always been fascinated by birds, so this was a perfect assignment for me. Getting a chance to go behind-the-scenes at the World Center for Birds of Prey in Boise, learning about the international work of the Peregrine Fund and observing and writing about the sport of falconry, was a bird lover’s dream.
